Advertising
We label advertising as "Advertisement." We never publish it as editorial content. We keep it possible for readers to tell which pieces are editorial articles and which are paid for by an advertiser.
How we label it
We label advertising as “Advertisement” near the headline, in article listings, and in every social media post. We do not rely on the label “PR” alone. In English we show “Advertisement,” and in Ukrainian, “Реклама.” We also disclose the advertiser’s name and how far it was involved in production.

Advertising we do not accept
At this launch stage, we do not accept the following advertising.
- Political advertising
- Sale of weapons, recruitment of combatants
- Solicitation for high-risk investments
For fundraising appeals, we decide after confirming the recipient, the use of funds, fees, the date checked, and any conflicts of interest. If we ourselves receive donations, we go through a separate review.
Relationship with the operating companies
Ukrainavi is published by 株式会社Kinobo and co-operated with 合同会社Vyshytech and 合同会社illnoa. All three companies undertake, as a business, practical work connecting Ukraine and Japan (Work With Us). Because the businesses of all three operating companies relate to Ukraine, we display the operating structure at the end of every article, regardless of subject. For articles in which an operating company or affiliated company appears, or that cover a field where their business interests closely align, we additionally disclose the relationship at the start of the article.
The planning, headline, and conclusions of such an article are checked by an editor independent of the staff responsible for that business. When independent review is not possible, we do not publish it as an editorial article, and instead label it as a “Notice from the operator” or as advertising.
On editorial influence
We keep the evaluation criteria for advertising sales and for editorial planning separate. Sales staff have no authority to approve publication of editorial articles. We do not omit inconvenient facts about a company for the reason that it is an advertiser.
